It is as if we used language like a ladder to climb forth from a kind of archaic dreamtime of emoto-relational drives into a new dimension of opportunity and danger. But we forgot the danger, (and become blind to the opportunities) — and then we failed to set the ladder down in a growing variety of catastrophic ways.
