Anything that demeans women’s cultural and personal identity or roles, or presents them as ‘rewards’, food, objects of gratification or the source of sinister seduction… attacks the basic personhood of human beings in general, and similarly reduces the roles of men to absurd representations of bias, objectification, stupidity, and the public celebration of hubristic delusion. The identities, roles and projections of the genders are intimately linked: what harms women must also destroy men, who cannot but be their sons.
