“Because in the context of the courtroom, which is a machine having nothing to do with Justice and everything to do with creating and sustaining a ritualized spectacle, the proceedings occur according to the rules and statements made, not our actual human interpretations of relationships or events. Also, in the context provided, evidence becomes far easier to -technically- sift; this is why we have lawyers, who ‘pre-sift’ it for the jury, because ordinary people cannot even understand language well enough to participate in law, let alone use language to decide such matters, which they must do in every courtroom. It’s actually insane, since this can neither be law, nor Justice. It is, by nature, a parade of public stupidity at ever-increasing costs. Its outcomes are death, not Justice.”
