Distributed biocognition trumps computing. We have it backwards. Computers are not going to help -us- become intelligent, in fact, they make us retarded. Our hope is in the direction opposite our goal: we will make machines able to act more intelligently as our prostheses, rather than becoming the cognitive and relational chattels of devices.
