Did you know that your human existence, and that of every living thing on earth is competing against computers that simply sit there computing nothing in order to generate tiny morsels of cash for their operators? Did you know that these processes, called ‘bitcoin mining’ are infecting computers, users and infrastructures the world over, and turning them into slaves that compete with living systems in order to -do no useful work- and generate cash from simply manipulating numbers in a useless and complex fashion so as to -simulate- useful work, but actually represent a way to turn living resources into dead networks? Did you know that ‘activist money’ on the internet is at least as deadly as physical money? You will never know who or what died in order to sustain the machines that simply process nothing in order to fill someone’s electronic piggy-bank at a speed that crawls, and thus demands -ever greater processing power and arrays- to succeed. Absolute ignorance, masquerading as what? A new currency? It’s a hideous start. At the very least, those machines must be made to do extremely valuable work. If not? Bitcoin should be outlawed. Immediately.
