Animals do not ‘think’ in the same way that humans do. At all. But they have unique forms and modes of mentality, analogous to our own, but appropriate to their more or less ordinary contexts, roles, and activities. These are changed by common or direct exposure to human minds and paradigms. And so, too, the humans.
