“It is as if every time someone pitches some unusual phenomenon, we only have the ‘new-age quantum i-told-you-so’ glove to catch it with, so, no matter what the hell the phenomenon was, it becomes ‘space-ship people’ and ‘geometry’ and ‘the secret (in my pants)’.
If I had to do something like that with my linguistic intelligence the approximate outcome would be drool. Mixed with excrement.
If you want to understand any phenomenon — or even develop the senses that those you are born with are but the nascent promise of — get rid of the cultural and social wrapping paper that is used to sell and compose cults of identification.
Then do that again. Keep doing that while you chase and directly explore the phenomenon. Learn.
Otherwise your intelligence turns to snot and you start to see the world in a way that is actually offensive to people who can still see the world.”
