Everything in nature communicates. So why would we presume that the superorganism Earth represents would not? Why would something as diversely sophisticated and biologically talkative as a planet like ours live in isolated silence? Frankly, it seems more likely to me that living worlds communicate. With each other, for a start. And possibly with some other forms of intelligence as well. And that would mean that the conversation has probably been informing the character and development of life on earth, intimately and directly, since its inception. Perhaps we even used to somehow participate directly in this conversation…
