“When the left hemisphere makes or processes a nonsense statement, it is like an idiot throwing accusations of stupidity at a raging prodigy (say, Da Vinci). Since it cannot see multiordinality, fuzzy connections, connotations, or constellations of possible interpretation. These assets and habits are often scripted to dismiss the entire string as nonsense.
The left hemisphere-like structures in our minds simply refuse to acknowledge poetry, metaphor… and the entire understructure of creativity and intelligence is ‘abandoned with prejudice’.
This is the gravest kind of error, because that whole process of discrimination, evaluation and decision depended precisely upon the specific modes and forms of intelligence which its ‘advanced operating priorities’ can neither detect nor take advantage of, and those, dear friends, comprise some 97% of the faculties and opportunities we associate with intelligence itself.
So when you see this kind of thing going on without good reason, you’re looking at a behavior whose analogy is something like a bird that chews its wings off because, unlike beaks or knives they ‘can only cut invisible air.”
