“What is enchantment? Like imagination and other terms, it has lost it’s currency. To enchant is to literally to ‘en-chant’, to ‘infuse with song.'”
— Encyclopedia of Celtic wisdom, Caitlin & Jon Matthew
This has fascinating implications which are not superficially apparent, especially for specific forms of hypnotic induction which can be seen to ‘establish a kind of song’ in the sub- or un- conscious mind, which evolves while it repeats, arising and disappearing in the deeper flows and eddies where, in whorls and furies… themes and figures appear and dissolve like a magical theater of liquid identity, relation, enwoderment, and learning.
