It is always fascinating when people deny any responsibility for the nature, veracity or function of their public communications… and then indict me as if this is my fault for being so indiscreet as to point this out, or examine the very real conflicts that actually result. Language use is an action. As such, it carries certain ethical and moral responsibilities. Thankfully, these cannot be explicitly stated, but they relate in every case to the nature, veracity, and character of our communications acts. If one uses language one does not understand to mean what one has not considered, that is at best reckless, and at worst malign.
