Our species has utterly failed to understand what intelligence is. And in so doing, we have failed to ignite the candle of relation which would remember us to everything alive — and the furiously intelligent contexts in which biocognition catalyzes and creates the intelligence we so prize as our own. We are like the capstone of the pyramid thinking ‘all other stones are lowly’ — with the signal difference that our species actively attacks all the other forms and orders of life upon which its own health and intelligence are raised high. Astonishing, and terrifying.
