There are forms and modes of sensing, relation and intelligence that are -only- available in intimate contact with nature, other creatures, and living places. In fact, I would suggest that some 70% of the potentials for human awareness are thus. They cannot and will not awaken or develop in any other context. Think about this carefully, and what it means. Most of our mind is ‘lost’ in a nature we have destroyed, lied about, co-opted, or simply ignored.
