Many creatures can make noises. They may even communicate with them. But I think most of them are fundamentally aware that silence has more bandwidth than noise. The mountain’s voice is silence, too. This is why they do not have language as we understand it. The silent languages are the best. The noisy ones are, primarily, either for mating or combat.
