There are many places in my thought where I have discovered that thoughts I once considered radical were actually confusedly less-than-the-ordinary. This is true, it turns out, of many apparently flamboyant religious, esoteric, and new age beliefs. The simple way to say this is that reality is exceedingly bizarre to such a degree that nothing we can concoct comes anywhere near it — and this is even more true of the our attempts to capture its weirdness and connectedness.
