“It is (as if there were) a conical arrangement of what might be understood as rings. Each ring is ‘turning’ at a specific speed, but is also ‘resonating’ in a peculiar way that involves tenor, pitch, rhythm, and vibration. You may encounter this construct between waking and sleeping, and passing any ring, or an array of them will elicit the experience of ‘physical sounds’ such as squealing, chirping, ‘screaming’, roaring, thundering, crackling, snapping, popping, rushing, pumping, and others. It is as if each ring in the cone produces one of these, and often one has an experience of just a single kind. At other times, one may ‘pass’ multiple rings, and experience more than one, or a cacophany-like effect. These ‘celestial noises’ are heard, but also felt. The experience is often terrifying because it is alien and unknown. It is a relatively simple matter to categorize it as diabolical… but it is not. It is an aspect of the nature of consciousness with which we may become familiar. Over time, it ceases to be terrifying and becomes amazing. Once one realizes it isn’t death, hell, or punishment… it’s… a set of possible transitions… it’s the musics underlying consciousness itself… it’s the between-place… the primal twilight zone at the core of the between within us…”
