As we bring to the world possibilities not yet rendered into explicit existence or evidence, to deny the existence of these opportunities by adducing and demanding ‘laws’ which generally or specifically preclude them is as ridiculous as fish declaring that water ‘does not exist for the purposes of discussion’, even though all discussions require and take place in it. Although we may tell ourselves interesting stories about objectivity, we are throwing away the fact of the impact of our presence, intention, activity or passivity within the equation we pretend to examine. We bring the miracle. We are the domain in which it happens. So yes, if you throw that way, there are no miracles, and everything looks pretty mechanical. Because you mechanized it!

And yes, humans are actually this confused, and they have been for a long time.
