Now, the fact is, that the character of the linguistically-dominated constellations ordinarily in power during waking awareness is peculiar. It has no capacity for empathy, and is megalomaniacal. It cannot recognize the existence of others, except as extensions of properties it believes it has mastered. These, invariably, are descriptions.

So, in order to reduce the standing threat of a world of actual presence, vitality, and palpable intimacy… this ‘mindset’ reduces all that to descriptions, which it can easily master, and thus pretend to ‘understand, and be in control of”. Hilariously, these have little or no connection to reality or even relation, and are, instead, weaponized defenses against both.

Thus one will see, for example, pseudo-spiritual ‘cults’ which revolve around the most sophisticated and bizarre descriptions of what are both ordinary and transcendental phenomenon — which is the nature of the real. Yet these cooperative organizations are not really establishing any intimacy with anything other than a trance-inducing description of… some compelling fantasy stitched onto the fabric of common thought and knowledge about meaning and identity.

Another excellent example is the dream-dictionary or catalog of crystal ‘powers’. Ask yourself what person who was actually sensitive to stones or dreams would have any use for such self-conflicting objects. Take as long as you like.

Moreover, one who cannot more deeply appreciate the unique aspects of presence and context in each experience (never mind each type or object)… will not be instructed into enlightenment by these vast catalogs of descriptions… whereby the languaging-dominated aspects of mind would pretend to us mastery over something which they are so incapable of connecting with that no ‘system’ or ‘dictionary’ is of any use at all in bridging this (nearly) impassible gulf.

Whenever I see an elaborate system of mystical or even psychological descriptions, I see a warning light. I may not entirely ignore the data therein conveyed, but you can be absolutely sure of one thing:

It’s the other side, and it’s masquerading.
