Until human beings generally recognize that the other organisms of earth comprise flexible extensions to our own abilities (and we to theirs), it will not yet be possible for us to be intelligent. Just as your own macrophages cannot at once be intelligent and attack everything in your own body, humans cannot be intelligent and be catastrophically laying waste to the fundamental contexts of life on earth.
