When you think about it, the only kind of freedom of assembly that really matters is the freedom and understanding necessary to assemble whole new modes of human potential and intelligence together, with and for each other and our world. And we do not have this. We are not yet very capable of forming bodies of consensus that act and develop intelligently. And our capacity to explore this is often inhibited by our habits or expectations.

We do not have this freedom in part because we have not practiced it, and the forms of consensus we are used to have primitive underpinnings are are usually just instances of cultural templates. But we have the capacity for cooperative superfunction. In fact, it has been our nature for hundreds of thousands of years.
