The ‘star’ of human intelligence was formed from the ‘gasses’ of the vegetal and animalian intelligences we developed in intimacy with.
I imagine one of our ancestors learning which creature knows the most about the largest number of others. A bird perhaps; one interested in following many other creatures to learn their habits and the assets with which they interact. Probably a corvid, maybe something like a magpie. So they follow this bird, as it follows other creatures. And in so doing, our ancestor acquires a profound metaperspective which includes a variety of different intelligences acting in a relational array. And this compression, the power of this perspective, produces the possibility of a nonordinary event. A kind of cognitive star-birth. The onset of light, inwardly, in the theater of the mind: insight, understanding, comprehension.
All from following a bird in the forest.
