In the stream of ideas, strange anomalies exist. Some are dangerous, some powerful, others merely exotic. Many of them affect themselves recursively. It is not terribly uncommon that I encounter an idea whose fundamental breadth and richness are terrifying. Literally. As I begin to explore them I experience a cognitive vertigo; the intellectual analog of the fear of heights. Within such ideas there is often something I liken to a signature. A fingerprint of nonordinary or transhuman intelligence.
