What I want you to understand is difficult to imagine.

You are a participant in a VALIS; a vast, active, living, intelligence system. This system impossibly sophisticated — the sum of human ideas would be as a speck of dessicated snot compared to it. It is alive, and you are immersed in it… in fact, you are an ‘instance-at-scale’ of its character, history, conservations, evolution and behavioral potentials.

It (and thus you) conserve sensing, relational and behavioral capacities that the sum of our wildest imaginings would utterly fail to portray. But we are trading these capacities away, in favor of ridiculous new-age fables, tokenizations, science, and machines. The sum of machines and ideas we could ever produce would not be worth 1 second of the direct experience of this system. Because we are so confused and terrified, we are rapidly assassinating the anciently conserved elements of the local VALIS extensions in favor of tokens we can manipulate in order to feed our misplaced desire to somehow ‘dominate’ it.

I call the VALIS a ‘biocognitive hypersystem’. The human role in the system is central, and crucial. Our species was developed by and within this system, as a living extension of it, for a specific set of functions and abilities. These roles are too astonishing to paint in simple language. To understand them, you must experience them, directly. What is perhaps even more staggering is that each human being has a unique set of potentials, opportunities, and possible roles… such that, in unison, these potentials are magnified geometrically…

…unless we trade them away for machines, representations, delusions, names, ideas, and ‘technical objectivity’. So I ask you to rediscover these matters. Leave the new-age idiocy, pundits, drugs, and technology aside. Go find out what a tree actually is and does. Take a trusted companion with you, and be a trusted companion.

The intrinsic abilities and capacities you are carrying would make your fictional superheroes piss blood and flee in terror. Don’t trade the legacy that was hidden inside you for mimics or fictions… or science. Recover it, personally, and experience it, directly.

This is all I ask of you.
