I imagine the implausible. Not the impossible, precisely. But the fairly unlikely.

I imagine that a small group of inspired, creative, fiercely imaginative people realize the power of this application, and begin using it in an entirely different way. Perhaps it begins with their refusal to reproduce any media object here. They post only original content, and only the most astonishing and empowering thoughts, dreams, questions and ideas. They start to chase fundamental quandries relating the actual potentials of our intelligence and agreement in an entirely obvious but unexplored way.

They take up the serious questions related to human intelligence, awareness and capability, and brainstorm them constantly. They call each other to excellence, and use their strong rational skepticism to balance their manic pursuit of mutual uplift. They groom each other’s intelligence incessantly, like artists at a masterwork.

They spar like those whose lives depended upon it, and they rarely criticize except to step the game to a higher level. This small group, armed with a few revolutionary understandings of human cognition, its failings, and its opportunities, refuse to become like facebook. They remake it in the image of their dream of changing everything, which is radically changing them in the process. Their commitment is unflagging, and instead of being used by technology, they use it to -exceed its offering-. At first, going would be slow as the members explored and learned to comprehend the terrain and its possibilities. But then a few posts would show up. Shine. And start the conflagration.

I imagine a small group of people like you and I, taking this in an entirely different direction. And starting something so impossibly enlightening that its like had never been seen or even considered possible. Something more contagious than memes and urls. A direction too radical and astonishing for common spectators. A direction toward something we’ve never really imagined possible. Because, frankly, it is. And more, it’s our fundamental nature to chase it together. It’s just… fairly unlikely.

Don’t you think?
