The first birth leads from the mother’s womb into the world. From within the womb, such a transformation… and the character of the world beyond the womb, is unthinkable. The world we are born into has (effectively) two cultures: the natural culture, which we call Nature, and human culture — which is to say the established cultures of the local representational intelligence (and their ramifications).

Unbeknownst to most, however, this world is a ‘second womb’… and it is indeed possible to experience a ‘second birth’, which carries us into a world that is as comparatively unthinkable as the difference between the mother’s womb and the world we emerge to discover. Like the first birth, there are two cultures beyond the second: the natural, and the cultures established by the inhabiting intelligences.

This ‘other world’ is co-extant with ‘ordinary reality’ but (largely) invisible to those who are not ‘born again’ — however, some few of those still ensconced in the womb of the world may learn or begin to sense what is beyond it, and these we call ‘gifted’. Strangely, only very few of them will achieve the second birth. Once they acquire ‘gifts’ this process usually anchors them here, in the first birth.

How astonishing all of this truly is… but only slightly astonishing… compared to what lies beyond the world-womb.

The sleepers shall awaken.
