“I’ve watched an eagle push several baby goats off a mountain ridge, creating an effortless meal by simply letting them fall to their death and swooping in once the bodies hit the ground lifeless. The eagle became aware of its wings by watching the goat. The goat becomes aware of its vulnerability by watching the eagle. Intelligence procured through simple survivalism. No greed, no excess, just life. I find this incredibly grand. No ugly, no pretty, no kindness, no evil. A pure, functional awareness.”
