‘Free energy’ is a deadly idea. It would be like giving a junky free heroin, except worse, because they would kill everything at once instead of just themselves.

I will post detail on this topic shortly. The brief version is this: modern humans cannot use silverware safely… never mind ‘free energy’. If we were to suddenly acquire free energy in our current technology-addicted mode, within weeks you would be competing with armies of self-assembling machines… and you (and nearly every other living thing on earth) would -=lose this competition=-. Hard, fast, and completely.
