The mind is hilariously canny in perpetuating the propagation of thought.
As I attempt to allow it to settle in meditation practice, I must first deal with the relatively demonic superficial thoughts. They’re messy, crude, greedy, charged with dark emotions, busy and aggressive. Once I manage to get them to settle, then the real challenge comes: the mind starts trying to -=make love to me=- with profoundly beautiful ideas and analogies.
It’s like you have to fight the demons first… and if you manage to get -=them=- to settle down — next up: wrestling with angels.
I can hardly wait to see what happens next.
