© <- this symbol indicates a crime. c is the symbol we use (in physics) to define 'the way light propagates in media'. The 'copyright' symbol illustrates light's natural propagation, imprisoned for profit. The © symbol and the cultural entities that enforce it represent a crime against our essential cognitive nature, which implicitly arises and proceeds by the free and communal sharing of information, methods, discoveries, images, and ideas created and transmitted via light (and sound). The culturally-derived bodies most interested in enforcing this concept have become so egregiously virulent and arrogant that they intend and pursue the goal of co-opting the bases of human communication for their own profit, aggrandizement, and continually expanding dominance of the infrastructures we use to communicate. The associated processes and goals comprise toxic extensions of the concepts and legal systems involved, and are indicative of the tyrannical agendas associated with them. If they are not laid to rest, they will continue to further criminalize, dominate, and prosecute fundamental aspects of our communications activities and the infrastructures that support them. One cannot purchase the ‘rights to the light’ (or atmosphere, or human cognitive and creative history) with and within which your “product” was created. Thus, one cannot become entitled to charge or prosecute others who receive, communicate or otherwise transmit the result. This does not mean you may not make a living with your creations. It does not mean you cannot receive benefit from their transmission or propagation within human culture and activity. It means that you cannot imprison light, information, ideas, sounds, methods or discoveries… all of which are made in and with irrevocably communal assets such as light, sound, human creative history, language, and thought. Human creativity is a field phenomenon, not an object factory. The products of human creativity thus emerge from and properly belong to that field, and not to individual identities which are impermanent and effectively cultural constructs. Copyright is a criminal act of light/sound/idea/information imprisonment. It must end now. Free the c !
