“So I hear that Google, Wikipedia, Mozilla, WordPress, and dozens of other popular web-service providers are “going on strike” and blacking out their sites tomorrow in protest over the Internet censorship bills SOPA and PIPA.

I’m glad Facebook’s not on the list yet. To me, this demonstration is like a dog biting its own tail. Who’s it going to hurt? The American senate and congress know damn well all these big Internet corporations are making money, so they’ll be back online soon enough. In the meantime, it’s all us shmucks who have to suffer not having the services. What a wasted effort.

Wanna make a statement, Google? Wanna push their buttons, Mozilla? Let it be known that you will research the addresses of any computers or phones normally used by any senate or congress members who vote in favor of censorship, and that you will block them from using your sites. That’s the way to fuck with them.” — Ryan HeavyHead
