I rest at the apex of the sacred mountain formed by the bones of the poets. Their lives and songs, their loves and deaths have raised me far beyond my mortal station. Now, alone, I wait for the transparent bird whose paradise is this instant in all places at once. And when she comes we shall marry, and I will be known no more amongst mortals, and my bones shall join their treasures to perfection’s deep and endless quiet.
