I find it both strange and instructive that English words have… peculiar qualities not ordinarily apparent. For example, the word ‘because’ is nearly always followed by illusions, lies, accusations, and other untruths. I cannot imagine a word more likely to lead directly into error and falsehood. Yet we use it regularly, oblivious to these estranging and dangerous implications.
