We do not yet understand human intelligence. Nor have we assembled environments in which we may explore its deeply astonishing nature and properties. Like neanderthals inexplicably faced with a modern computer — we keep trying to use it to dominate each other and the living planet — destroying the ourselves, our world, and the potentially precious artifact (our own intelligence) in the process.
When intelligence is (ab)used as a weapon, it attacks the wielder, and hides this process from them. That is part of its nature.
The most important aspects of human intelligence are the distributed aspects, and these may be incompletely visualized as a polarity. In our time, the shadow pole of these faculties is and has long been ascendant. It has taken the living and human relational planet in a death-grip as a function of its all-or nothing gambit to permanently eradicate the competition.
The invisible competitor is the anciently conserved endowment of our evolutionary and relational history: our actual relational intelligence — and it is nothing like anything we’ve seen or imagined. Compared to what we are carrying, the sum total of human models is like a vast wasteland filled with broken mimics attempting to dress up as heroic protectors.
Understand one thing: the shadow aspect will happily destroy every living being and relationship on this planet. It has no compunction, no ethics, no mercy, and no concern other than dominance or death. It is rabid, insane, horribly broken, and will not be healed. Unfortunately, the competitor, our actual intelligence, has no interest in combat, glory, or dominance. In fact, it is too busy attempting to simply keep us alive to respond much at all.
It is this we must change together, now.
Drop all the models we’ve made and been sold. Make space for what we are actually capable of and carrying as a potential. It is more astonishing than all the religions and science we have ever made. And perhaps even more surprising, it has -=allies=- of a form entirely beyond our capacity to imagine.
But we don’t have to imagine them. When we set down the models and establish liquid unity, that’s the call they will answer. In fact, it’s the only call they recognize.
