Underneath the largely unexamined methods we use constantly to establish our thinking and verbal/narrative experience from our sensory experience… lie three key elements: identity, metaphor, and simile.

We have nearly no training related to the skillful application or understanding of these fundamental substrates of our cognitive inheritances.

Savants and prodigies all seem to have one thing in common: they deal very uniquely with these aspects of cognition, tending to have a highly flexible or multiply-ordinal relationship with identity specifically… and here lies a clue for those curious enough to chase it…
