How does it feel to be the only species on Earth that has to pay to live on your own birthworld? Isn’t it fulfilling to realize that this usury grants you nothing? Not even the right to stand in place unmolested.
Cars and telephones have more rights than you or your children. And they get better care, too. But they don’t have to pay anything… ever… they own space by the simple virtue of their existence.
Meanwhile, you get nothing but the pain of insuring their well-being. And the bill for the privilege of not mattering as much as a ream of paper.
Enjoying that?
