Consider the three tiers of spirituality: Anti-tokenization, meditative/magical, and tokenized/conversionist. Three examples: Zen, Taoism, Islam. Note that the more tokenized and conversionist the religion, the more significant the proposed threats and/or rewards are. This should be suspicious to those who understand the mind. Additionally, only the highly reified religions propose killing as an act of faith.
