Our problems and resentments, those who hurt or ignored or misunderstood us… these are, in fact, the garden of the soul. At first, the dirt is rocky and unyielding, harsh, severe, and promises only pain. But as one begins to break the soil, to work it, we find, indeed, it is — as was promised — a rich and fertile inheritance, infinite in depth and abundant in (the most rare and invisible) produce.
