In romance, the Other may come to represent a living doorway out of linear, ordinary time, into a peculiar paradigm of {possible} eternality… but in learning, the nature of the Other may surpass even this… where unity leads beyond romantic eternity — emerging in and as a wholly other form of time which is epic, heroic, and (in my view) authentically messianic.
