The individual uniquely options ‘new’ dimensions of self for internalization from those perceived extrinsically in cultures or groups. In so doing, they become a source of candidates for (covalent) internalization for the culture. While this is happening, those who represent radical change (most often) become the enemies of the culture… and those who represent severe stability become the enemies of the individual.
