Hidden just beyond the superficial appearance of every living creature is a complete (and unique) living instance of all universes. That we think machines are required for space-travel is a tragic consequence of our misapprehensions. It is like a house attempting to build machines outside itself to travel to the medicine cabinet inside itself (which appears to it as the sky).
