The idea that machines are required to travel great distances is one of the most hubristic cons I’ve ever encountered. Lots of other things, beings, momentums, and ways travel impossible distances instantaneously. Hitchhiking is encouraged and it’s been this way since the beginning of time. Only moderns are so absurdly broken-minded as to think otherwise.
