If you ˚knew˚ that each time you used your car there was a .5% chance it would cost a child’s life — somewhere, probably unbeknownst to you — usually as a distant consequence of your actions and their distributed impact on living systems… how long would you continue using cars? What if it was your computer, instead? To what degree are we -willing- to understand the ‘prices’ that such technologies incur?
