It is the act I call ‘metaphying’ that brings forth the world of experience to our inner eye, and, in fact, assembles that eye. When you craft knowledge or language for yourself, you use metaphors. But we are not taught to ˚craft˚ metaphors — only to use those handed down to us… this fact suggests that the lion’s share of accessible human intelligence remains undiscovered — in us.
