I sometimes wonder if anyone, or anyone I know, is aware that ‘true or false’ is not the arbiter of valuable knowledge, or insight.
It is entirely possible (and many humans have done this), to hold a perspective that is demonstrably »wrong… and at the same time for such a perspective to be more intelligent, truthful, alive and insightful, than »any truth claim humans have ever made, or any ‘belief’ that has ever been held by them.
Some of the Ancient Greeks were aware of this, and practiced it together. They called this practice ‘theoria’. It’s goal was insight, not facts, and not ‘models that allow one to predict the outcomes of physical phenomena’.
