“There is far greater complexity involved in recent events in Nepal than what westerners know or is being reported in the global media.

While the movement started with genuine Gen-Z grievances against communist govt (the government genuinely sucked), later it got hijacked by various armed groups (like Maoists) with vested interests. Recently, they burned their tallest luxury Hilton Hotel that was major source of tourist income for their country. Similarly, now they are doing mindless damage attacking hospitals, temples, etc.

They tried attacking their (Hindu’s especially Tantrik Shaivas) overall most important holy site, the Pashupati Nath temple (which has one of the oldest, if not the oldest-known, Lingas in the world dating back to pre-Vedic times). That Linga is perhaps the most important spiritual artifact in Indo-Asian history as all other later Indic (and many Asian) Traditions have root in Pashupata Shaivism.

(The) ntire Nepal spiritual culture & tourist revenue is centered around that Temple. Fortunately, Police & Yogis/Tantrics were able to defend it from mindless attack. So, now once a noble justified movement has spiraled into mindless self-destruction hijacked by various adult well-trained armed groups where even innocent civilians got shot.

(The) USA Military/Intelligence infrastructure also has a role in funding or weaponizing these movements to create instability in regions near India due to rising tensions between Modi & Trump.

Similar scripts were involved to foment do regime change in Bangladesh last year; the military escalation between Pakistan & India this year. The US actively funds or weaponizes these things, then tries to act as savior or holier-than-thou & cherry-picks only things that it wants to highlight in the Western Media.

There were certain Omens in their folk traditions that predicted this turmoil in Nepal.”
