The idea of a ‘normal’ human, inculcated into us by concepts from science and medicine, is a fiction of generalization. There are precisely zero ‘normal’ humans.
While some generalizations are useful, they can also be extremely harmful when implemented over entire populations, or minds. This is what we are subjected to in ‘school’, where the concept is inverted such that all children are treated as if they must become the absurd generalization that defies and locks up their uniqueness, gifts, needs and special faculties.
