Prodigies be all:
“I read no less than 7 books at the same time. Presently, I’m reading William S. Burroughs’ ‘The Place of Dead Roads’, A textbook on Physics, The Peanuts Treasury, Phillip K. Dick’s VALIS, Koestler’s The Roots of Coincidence, Language and Myth by Earnst Cassirer, The Cloud of Unknowing, and a Manual for Plumbers. For desert, I read from several other random tomes.
While doing this I pretend that these are all ‘by a single author’ whose intent was to inform the other readings by presenting ‘a view that diverges from single-topic literary focus’. I’ve done this since I was a kid.
