This is a quick note to alert my FB friends who I deeply care about (and this is me writing this, this isn’t a meme)… to the fact that, right now, and for the past at least 10 months, there has been a highly orchestrated hacking campaign afoot, aimed at taking over accounts, and, particularly, the accounts of people in the UK and US.

Many of my friends have lost their accounts this way, and quite a number of them were unable to recover them.

For this reason, if you value your FB account, please take very serious steps to secure it. Add two-step, a backup account, a phone number, whatever you can do to ensure that you and only you can access your account. Use a strong password, ensure that the email account associated with your account has high security features (2-step, backup email, phone, etc).

Many people are leaving FB, and that’s fine.

But for those of you who have an investment here, please, take this moment to do the work to secure your credentials and access to your FB account.
