The cognitive, emotional and mental charisma of almost any representation … by which I mean the skeletal remains of the otherwise intangible verities of thought, relation, role or form … is so compelling that we will dispose not merely of our lives and liberties, our histories and futures … our children and ancestors … we will literally dispose of the entire possibility of our world, and the history and future of our planet … in a misguided attempt to trade dead ‘but very compelling’ objects and ideas … for their living origins.
