I think it extremely likely that the citizens of western nations (including the US) may soon be shocked to discover that the modern battlefield where nations conduct military conflicts now includes their own homes, communities, minds, lives… and the infrastructure we both depend upon for survival and largely take for granted.
Be clear about this: that infrastructure is unimaginably fragile, and, without it… what we understand as ‘our society’ can transform almost instantly to lethal chaos. And that might be less of a transformation than we imagine…”
